The fonts are cramped on Mint, and smaller, on top of that, the fonts look smeared and not properly antialiased. Attached is a screenshot, while you may not think the fonts are that bad on your monitor, there is a huge difference in the way the fonts look. I've changed all possible settings such as hinting and antialiasing, tried nf files from the forums, but even in the best case scenario, the fonts look horrendous. What is the most up to date way to improve font rendering in Mint? It was still pretty bad before compared to Windows but at least I could read the text on screen without getting a headache. I get eye fatigue after like 5 minutes of working on Mint, and then headaches due to the atrocious font rendering. Anyway, on this monitor, while the fonts in Windows look better than ever (more readable due to the lower pixel density), on Mint they look absolutely atrocious and reading is a pain.
#FONTS THAT HINT SPEEDINESS 1080P#
I bought a new monitor that is bigger than my previous one, before I had a 1080p 24 inch monitor, now I have a 27 inches 1080p monitor.
